Background

Vindie is an app where you can search, buy and sell indie vinyls. Due to the new market tendencies and the growing popularity of retail online stores, the client needed to adapt to the new environment.

The solution was an online app for people that search for unique, difficult-to-find, exclusive vinyls. The overall look and feel fortifies this idea combining analog and digital worlds, using a vintage style typography, a retro color palette, and the use of grainy photographs.

Claim

Using the famous Julius Caesar phrase as a starting point ('I came, I saw, I conquered') it establishes the tone of communication: casual, irreverent yet effective.

In Vindie, there is no doubt you will find the vinyl you are looking for. You can also sell yours, so it’s a win-win for everyone.

We are building a strong community based on positive feedback, being always supportive and helpful in their recommendations.

Eye for an eye

The icon is a hybrid between an eye and a vinyl. It represents the search function as a bigbrother-esque eye that can find any vinyl you are looking for.

The animations and the art direction are focused on this simple, yet eye-catching idea.

Merchandising

From some t-shirts to tote bags or stickers, the brand look & feel breathes the same art style and charisma, using the same patterns generated in the app and the motion graphics.
